ESENCE THERMALU: CHIKAKO GOTO

Japonská umělkyně Chikako Goto (* 1957) žije ve městě Yufuin Onsen v Japonsku. Studovala výtvarné umění na Byam Shaw School v Londýně. Zajímá se o klasickou evropskou hudbu, tradiční japonskou hudbu a hru a tanec buto. Její práce jsou inspirované hudbou (např. Benjamina Brittena) a zabývají se tématem míru a přátelství. Vystavovala na různých místech Japonska, České republiky, Velké Británie. Při své letošní návštěvě Prahy, navštívila také Karlovy Vary a Thermal a přivezla své haiku přátele s básněmi – haiku, které napsali její přátelé v Japonsku přímo pro tuto příležitost.

Since last night’s concert, I have been thinking about the soldiers on the front lines. I think their dream is to meet their families and visit spas like Karlovy Vary.

I saw a lot of tourists at the big hot spring pool yesterday.
They all look happy. It is my wish that the smiles of these people can be seen by people all over the world. And I once again realized that hot spring tourist spots, healing places, are like heaven on earth.

This time, we brought 5 human-shaped pieces of Korean paper (made of 100% linen) and placed them around the hotel. All of them are my haiku friends.

Everyone wanted to come to Karlovy Vary, but they couldn’t. However, they wrote haiku with the theme of „hot springs.“ We did Ginko (walking around while composing haiku) with them. I felt as though I was chatting with them.

The English translation of their and my haiku is as follows. Our city has almost the same population as Karlovy Vary, and is also a hot spring resort.

Od včerejšího koncertu jsem myslela na vojáky v první linii. 
Myslím, že jejich snem je setkat se s rodinami a navštívit lázně 
jako Karlovy Vary. 
Včera jsem viděla spoustu turistů u velkého bazénu s horkými prameny.
Všichni vypadali šťastně. 
Přála bych si, aby jejich úsměvy viděli lidé po celém světě. 
A znovu jsem si uvědomila, že turistická místa s léčivými prameny, 
léčivá místa, jsou jako ráj na zemi.

Tentokrát jsme přinesli 5 kusů korejského papíru ve tvaru člověka 
(vyrobených ze 100% lnu) 
a rozmístili je po hotelu. 
Všichni jsou to moji haiku přátelé. 
Všichni chtěli do Karlových Varů, ale nemohli. 
Napsali však haiku s tématem ``horkých pramenů.'' 
Vytvořili jsme je společně na Ginko procházce (na níž se skládá haiku). 
Měla jsem pocit, jako bych si s nimi povídala.

Naše město Yufuin má téměř stejný počet obyvatel jako Karlovy Vary 
a je také lázeňským letoviskem.
